Hello! My name is Kim Ivie. I teach Kindergarten in North Pole, Alaska at Midnight Sun Elementary. I am passionate about teaching! It brings me joy to see my students’ excitement as they learn new things and conquer the world. I find that using music and movement in my classroom helps teach and reinforce concepts I have introduced to my students.

Literacy in early childhood is important. Often, I couldn't find a book that adequately covered certain topics, which led me to write my own books for the classroom. My students are always inspiring me to create my own lyrics and songs that accompany my growing library of self-published books.
